This
pandemic has been taking all over the world. It affected us wit
h our health and
also our economy.
Many
people died because of this Coronavirus disease. Our economy shuts down because
of community quarantine. Many people are starving, and many of us lost our
jobs. But regardless of what we believe, we must follow the safety protocols.
Observing social distancing wherever you go, wearing your face mask, and
disinfecting every inch of your body are the protocols that could prevent the
transmission of the virus. Providing false contact details will only worsen our
situation. Improper movements may risk everyone.
When
you are observing these protocols, you can save your life and other’s lives as
well.
However,
during the country’s struggle against the coronavirus disease many problems
came to an advance. Corruption, education, typhoon damages, and other problems
made its way into a red carpet. Many officials got suspended and faced charges
because of the alleged corruption in PhilHealth. The National Bureau of
Investigation created a task force, and they are still investigating
Philhealth. Meanwhile, many officials got suspended by the Ombudsman and are
now facing charges.
And there are issues in the system of
education in the Philippines that need to be solved. This includes access to
technology for students that remains a problem but parents continue to stand
and wait for their child’s printed module. The Department of Education lacks
sufficient budget for the students’ distance learning that’s why they were
adjusting. And parents and teachers are worried when retrieving and gathering
learning materials, but safety protocols are strictly observed. And recently,
typhoon Rolly left 5.8 billion pesos in infrastucture damage. The Anti-Terror
law is still a subject of debate for Filipino Democracy. Most people believe
that this law was preventing or prohibiting our freedom of speech and
expression instead of serving its purpose to eradiacte terrorism. But petitions
have been filed against this law. These are the common problems the Philippines
is currently facing. These are the common problems our country is currently
facing, but ensuring the freedom of people, valuing our ideals and aspirations,
and promote a just and humane society can establish a more resilient country.

Great way to deliver the problem the House cannot even see. I hope they will immediately find a solution to make our country resilient. Great job!
